Paul Van Der Riet

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Paul sold his successful brokerage having spent 21 years in the insurance industry to focus on his creative side. Having started and launched the first moving sports field billboards in South Africa and a short investment in scanning technology and modular flat pack homes, his fascination with modular design and architecture which served as a hobby since childhood found an outlet and  Core Event Structures got off the ground. He travelled to Europe in 2013 and 2014 researching the latest trends in event structures and event products. Thanks to new materials and manufacturing processes the critical element of low weight, easy assembly, high quality, top European certification, visual appealing, strength and interchangeable branding became possible. You will find him on his mountain bike when he finds a rare moment away from the office, letting out steam on a technical trail somewhere on one of Cape Town’s beautiful wine farms or mountains.

Chad Botha

DIRECTOR

Chad's passion and love for the events industry goes back many years. Having been involved in a number of successful business interest and recently founder of Inspire Furniture Rentals, Chad brings his experience and talents to CES. Chad’s love’s nothing better than to strike up conversation with new people and his open spirit and confidence creates a positive energy in business. His knowledge and experience creating  streamline systems and platforms to launch businesses, will be a great advantage to the future success of CES. During Chad’s free time, you will find him on various event association boards or taking a stroll on one of Cape Town’s coastal beaches having a sundowner and making new friends.

Megan Barthies

OFFICE MANAGER

Megan takes on the complex job ensuring the smooth running and planning of events as well as the back office duties. Megan has always been interested in the events industry, working for promotional and events companies while studying at university. She completed her studies at the University of Cape Town in 2017 and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Management Studies, specializing in Organisational Psychology. She officially joined Creative Event Solutions in the beginning of 2018 after working part time on events run by the company. During her free time, you’ll find her outdoors or listening to live music. Her role at the company is dealing with the day to day running of the office and involvement in the planning and execution of events
